Halo Elné

Ek wil net sommer vir jou getuig wat Pilates vir my beteken .Ek het sowat 4 jaar terug by jou begin met Pilates.

Ek het vir sowat 15 jaar baie gereeld tennis gespeel en toe sedert die laat tagtigs Aerobiese oefeninge en oefeninge met gewigte by ‘n privaat gym gedoen. Ek was dus altyd redelik fiks gewees.

Ek het probleme met my linkerbeen begin kry. Die been het styf en seer geword aan die linkerkant en by die knie. As ek motor bestuur het of in ‘n motor gery het vir meer as 20minute, was my bene erg styf as ek uitklim.

Binne ‘n maand vandat ek met die Pilatis begin het, het die probleem verdwyn en net soms teruggekeer. (Ek sit bedags voor ‘n rekenaar en werk en antwoord baie telefoon.) Dan doen ons net weer spesifieke oefeninge vir die probleem en dit verdwyn. Ek kan nou maklik 4ure ry sonder om styf te raak. Ek speel heerlik met my klein kinders op die grond.

Ek het ook hierdie vakansie agtergekom dat die rowwe branders aan die Natalse Suidkus my nie meer omslaan nie. Ek hardloop sommer in die branders die see uit sonder om te val en te rol! Dit is danksy Pilates- slegs 2 keer per week.

Ek hoop om nog vir baie jare Pilates te kan doen.

I am a woman on the wrong side of 50 who had a total knee replacement 5 and a half years ago.

I hurt me knee very badly when I was about 14 years old and over the years had to endure a total of 13 operations. During this time there were periods when I was able to exercise and partake in various sports, but ultimately I endured tremendous pain and had to stop all my activities.

In May 2010 I was introduced to Pilates by Elné Kleinsmith and haven’t looked back since!

It is the first time since the age of 14 that I am able to exercise without pain. My range of movement has improved and my overall quality of life as well.

“Hi my naam is Michaela, ek doen al vir 4 jaar pilates by elne se studio en dit help my ontsettend baie.

Ek het in Laerskool uitgevind ek het n redelike erge graad van skoliose. Skoliose is abnormale kurwe van die ruggraad wat pyn, ongemaklikheid en in erge gevalle n hele skewe postuur kan veroorsaak. Ek het baie pyn ervaar in my rug en dit het my daaglikse lewe beïnvloed.

Ek het besluit om pilates te probeer en kyk of dit sal help en dit het sonder twyfel, ek het minimale rug pyn en my “core strenght”, postuur en soepelheid het verbeter en boonop is dit baie ontspannend en dit help my om basies enige iets anders beter te kan doen.

Ek sal dit hoogs aanbeveel vir enige iemand, hetsy n rug probleem of nie, die resultate kan niks anders as positief wees nie.”
